Directions to Ocean County Special Civil Part Courthouse

From the Garden State Parkway or Route 9

·         From Route 9 southbound, enter the Garden State Parkway where Route 9 and the Garden State Parkway join. Follow the Parkway/Route 9 combination south to exit 82.

·         Take Exit 82 for Route 37 East. Follow Route 37 east to the second traffic light.

·         There is an exit lane for Hooper Avenue/Route 549 south. Take this exit.

·         The landmark is a Denny's Restaurant.

·         Follow Hooper Avenue south. Approximately mile south a pedestrian walkway across 549/Hooper Avenue is plainly visible.

·         Just before the pedestrian walkway there is a traffic light.

·         This is the second traffic light on Hooper Avenue.

·         If you desire to park in the garage, no charge parking, make a left turn at this light. The garage driveway is on your right at this point. Try to park at level 3. This level will lead directly onto the pedestrian walkway across 549/Hooper Avenue to the second floor of the Justice Complex.

 

From South of Toms River

·         Follow Route 9 north until it joins with the Garden State Parkway, or follow the Garden State Parkway north.

·         Take Exit 81 off of the Route 9/Garden State Parkway combination. This exit is marked "Water Street" and "Downtown Toms River".

·         Follow the exit straight onto Water Street. You will be east bound at this point.

·         Follow Water Street east to the second traffic light. This light is Hooper Avenue.

·         Make a left turn onto Hooper Avenue/Route549 north.

·         Follow Hooper Avenue north for two blocks, each with a traffic light.

·         At the second traffic light turn right.

·         The garage driveway is on your right at this point.

·         Try to park at level 3. This level will lead directly onto the pedestrian walkway across 549/Hooper Avenue to the second floor of the Justice Complex.

 

From Interstate 195 and the Turnpike

·         Follow Interstate Route 195 East to Exit 16B onto County Route 537 North.

·         Take Route 537 North over the 195 overpass to the first traffic light, approximately mile.

·         At this light make a right hand turn onto County Routes 526 and 571.

·         Follow the signs for Route 571 East. The road splits approximately mile after making the right turn with Route 526 going off to the left and Route 571 going off to the right.

·         Take the right fork to continue on Route 571.

·         Follow Route 571 for approximately 22 miles until you reach the intersection with County Route 549, also known as Hooper Avenue.

·         The landmarks will be the Ocean County Vocational Technical School on the right and a golf course on the left two lights before the Route 549/Hooper Avenue light.

·         When you see the school and golf course you are approximately mile from 549/Hooper Avenue and should move into the right lane.

·         As you approach 549/Hooper Avenue a large shopping mall will be on the immediate left and two large enclosed malls will be ahead to your left and right.

·         Follow the exit for 549/Hooper Avenue south.

·         The signs will also mention Toms River.

·         Follow Route 549/Hooper Avenue approximately 1.5 miles to the Justice Complex.

·         There is a pedestrian walkway across 549/Hooper Avenue that will be plainly visible. Just before the pedestrian walkway there is a traffic light. This is the second traffic light since crossing route 37, approximately mile south of Route 37.

·         If you desire to park in the garage, no charge parking, make a left turn at this light. The garage driveway is on your right at this point. Try to park at level 3. This level will lead directly onto the pedestrian walkway across 549/Hooper Avenue to the second floor of the Justice Complex.
